This Story is featured on 鶹ý News
An eight-member team – including two faculty members from the 鶹ý Computer Science program – presented five papers at this month’s annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association, related to an 鶹ý-led project to teach computational thinking skills to elementary school students.
Computational thinking refers to a set of thought processes traditionally used in computer science to identify and define problems and their solutions. Elementary teachers are finding it valuable for much more, including as a tool to teach core content.
