Students must decide whether to accept or decline certain offers. <strong>By accepting your financial aid, you agree to the <a class=\"grow-bro heavy-man\" href=\"https:\/\/sou.edu\/financial-aid\/checklist\/accept-loans\/terms-and-conditions\/\">Terms &amp; Conditions.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"heavy-man dig-4\">If awarded, you may accept your financial aid by following the steps below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>To accept awards for 2026-2027:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access Workday by logging in to <a href=\"https:\/\/okta.sou.edu\/app\/UserHome\">Okta<\/a> and opening the <strong>Workday Student<\/strong> app on your dashboard.<\/li>\n<li>From your Workday Homepage, use the Menu button to navigate to the <strong>Finances<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n<li>Once on the Finances App, click <strong>Accept\/Decline Awards<\/strong> under the Financial Aid section.<\/li>\n<li>Review your Award Type and Amount Offered for each term. Select <strong>Accept<\/strong> or <strong>Decline<\/strong> in the <em>Decision<\/em> column for each award.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> and <strong>Done<\/strong> when complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To accept awards for 2025-2026:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"pop-4\">\n<li>Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/inside.sou.edu\">inside.sou.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use the red box at the top of the page to enter OKTA login\n<ul>\n<li>If the \u201cBilling Account &#8211; Student\u201d app is there: click the app to enter your Banner Self-Service portal<\/li>\n<li>If the \u201cBilling Account &#8211; Student\u201d app is not there: go to the sidebar and click &#8220;Add Apps\u201d. Search the app catalog to add it and return to \u201cMy Apps\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once in your Banner Self-Service portal scroll down to the Financial Aid section and click the link titled &#8220;Financial Aid\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Once new page opens to the Financial Aid portal, click the \u201cOffer on the top<\/li>\n<li>Select the correct Academic Year for awarding aid from the dropdown menu in the top right<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to review and accept\/decline your financial aid offer<\/li>\n<li>Keep these points in mind when accepting\/declining loans:\n<ul>\n<li>Use the dropdown menu to &#8220;Accept&#8221; or &#8220;Decline&#8221; each offered amount or change the amount you are requesting. You may request less than the total amount offered if desired.<\/li>\n<li><em>*Note: For students attending all terms Fall, Winter and Spring terms, the requested loan amount for the entire aid year will be evenly divided between the three terms.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>All first-time loan borrowers requesting a student loan must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/mpn\/\">Master Promissory Note (MPN)<\/a>\u00a0 and <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/entrance-counseling\/\">Loan Entrance Counseling<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other Resources<\/h3>\n<p>Outside aid affects your cost of attendance. Your financial aid offer must not exceed your cost of attendance.
