residence halls. As you review the information below, please reach out if you have additional questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall Term Move-In 2025-2026<\/strong><br \/>\nMove-In Day for new Â鶹´«Ã½ Students is Friday, September 19th. Returning Students will be moving in on Sunday, September 21st.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive an email, to your Â鶹´«Ã½ email account, about when you will be able to check in to your room. If you need to schedule a different time, please email the University Housing Office.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to request to move in earlier than your scheduled dates, please complete this form: Early Arrivals Request Form located in your housing portal.<\/p>\n<p>When planning for your Move-In, please check the University Housing Policies for items you can and cannot bring to campus.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><strong>Winter Break Closing<\/strong><br \/>\nAs you prepare for your Winter Break, please review these guidelines before leaving:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Close and lock your windows<\/li>\n<li>Close your curtains<\/li>\n<li>Turn off all lights<\/li>\n<li>Lock your door<\/li>\n<li>Unplug everything (except for fish tanks and refrigerators)<\/li>\n<li>Take your fish home<\/li>\n<li>Please clean out fridge and set to lowest setting (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Remove all trash and recycling from room<\/li>\n<li>Turn heater to lowest setting (if room is equipped)<\/li>\n<li>Remove all personal items from the bathroom area for maintenance inspections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Health &amp; Safety Checks<br \/>\nUniversity Housing will be conducting Health &amp; Safety Checks after you leave for your break. While we are not looking for policy violations, if we do find one in sight, we will remove the unapproved item, and document the violation. You will then meet with your Area Coordinator to resolve the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Extended Stays<br \/>\nStudents needing to stay past Friday, December 12th, 2025 at 4pm, need to register with the University Housing by completing the following form: Extended Stay Request Form. Students will have until Monday, November 24th, 2025, by 5pm to register to stay past the closing deadline. There will be a fee to stay past Friday, December 12th, 2025 at 4pm.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><strong>Mid-Year Move-In<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you are moving in for the Winter Term or Spring Term, please go directly to the University Housing Office, located in Greensprings Hall to pick-up your keys and move-in to your room. You will receive an email, to your Â鶹´«Ã½ email account, with more details on where you are living about a week prior to your check in date.<\/p>\n<p>For Winter Term, the residence halls open at 8am on Sunday, January 4th, 2026<\/p>\n<p>For Spring Term, the residence halls open at 8am on Sunday, March 29th, 2026<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><strong>Mid-Year Move-Out<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you are checking out of your residence hall during the academic year, during Winter Break, or Spring Break, please follow these guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove ALL personal belongings<\/li>\n<li>Double check all dresser drawers, desk drawers, and closets<\/li>\n<li>All furniture surfaces must be wiped down<\/li>\n<li>Floors are clean (mopped\/ vacuumed)<\/li>\n<li>Clean around, under and behind all moveable furniture<\/li>\n<li>Remove all trash and recycling from room and common areas<\/li>\n<li>Close and lock your windows &amp; close blinds<\/li>\n<li>Remove all things from bathroom area and help clean bathroom (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Remove all things from kitchenette and living area and help clean spaces (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Donatable items brought to lobbies (if available)<\/li>\n<li>AC fan speed turned down (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Turn in keys to the University Housing Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Checking out before your contract ends, does not mean that you get a refund.<\/p>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><strong>End-Of-Year Move-Out Information<\/strong><br \/>\nYour Resident Assistant will schedule closing meetings to review expectations for moving out of the residence halls. Students are expected to be moved out of their room 24 hours after their last final, or by 4pm on Friday, June 12th, 2024, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n<p>Below are guidelines for how you should leave
