University Board Secretary
Sabrina Prud’homme is the university board secretary to the Board of Trustees of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ (Âé¶¹´«Ã½). A governance professional, Sabrina works to ensure the governing Board of Trustees maintains compliance with laws and regulations. She also serves as a strategic advisor to the board and acts as the board’s liaison with campus and community members, among many other duties. She is a member of the National Council of Board Professionals of the Association of Governing Boards for Colleges and Universities, and has led conference sessions and consulting engagements on board governance topics.
A member of the president’s cabinet, Sabrina also has served as the executive liaison member of Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Leadership Team in 2020 and 2021 and she is currently a member of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President’s Committee for Equity and Diversity.
Committed to education both in her work and in her spare time, Sabrina served as an elected director on the Ashland School Board for the Ashland School District (ASD) for many years. She was a member of the Oregon School Board Association’s School Board Members of Color Caucus, the ASD Budget Committee, and the board of the Ashland Schools Foundation.
Sabrina currently serves as the inaugural board president of BASE (Black Alliance and Social Empowerment) Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Oregon and is a member of BASE’s Race Equity Liaison Committee, dedicated to improving anti-bias efforts and community relations among local Black residents, in partnership with the Jackson County Sheriff and the police chiefs of Ashland, Central Point, Medford, Phoenix and Talent, Oregon. She is a director on the board of the Northwest Health Foundation and is a member of the Oregon Community Foundation’s Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Oregon Leadership Council.
Sabrina Prud’homme is a four-time recipient of Âé¶¹´«Ã½â€™s Service Excellence Award, the 2023 recipient of the Jolie Johnson Award for Women’s Leadership from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Oregon Women’s Leadership Conference, and she is an inaugural recipient of the Social Empowerment Award from the BASE organization (2025).
