itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The October video message from Â鶹´«Ã½ President Rick Bailey comes directly from the climbing wall at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Student Recreation Center, and he starts by pointing out the symbolism of the location. \u201cWe need to climb,\u201d he says. \u201cWe need to chart a better future.\u201d Part of that is a new enrollment plan designed to improve both recruitment and retention of students. Another part is the university\u2019s new financial management plan, which will help build a stronger and more resilient Â鶹´«Ã½ \u2013 a university more capable of withstanding future challenges. \u201cThose are \u2026 footholds and handholds on this wall,\u201d President Bailey says. He also offers a shout-out to all who had a part in the alumni events during Â鶹´«Ã½\u2019s homecoming weekend, and for the recent recognition of a deserving student-athlete. And he talks about discourse, and the need for civility and respect. \u201cIt\u2019s not about how much we agree on things,\u201d he says. \u201cWe need to not just tolerate but celebrate our
