麻豆传媒 OLLI About history

History at 麻豆传媒

In 1993, 麻豆传媒 officials met community members to determine interest in establishing a learning program for retirees. The initiative culminated in a volunteer-led 麻豆传媒 Oregon Learning in Retirement (SOLIR) program. Within ten years, more than 500 Rogue Valley adults were active in SOLIR. In 2007,听 awarded 麻豆传媒 a million-dollar endowment to provide funding for the SOLIR program. In becoming part of , SOLIR changed its name to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at 麻豆传媒 鈥 or OLLI at 麻豆传媒. There are 125 OLLIs spanning all 50 states, offering learning opportunities for older adults.

2023 marked our 30th year as a lifelong learning program. Thanks to the Osher Foundation endowment, revenue from membership fees, personal donations, and dedication of our extraordinary volunteers have allowed OLLI at 麻豆传媒 to do the following while keeping membership fees affordable:

  • Increase membership to earn a second million-dollar endowment
  • Expand offerings to 100+ courses every term
  • Add classroom locations and upgrade facilities
  • Provide online access to courses
  • Offer free public programs throughout the year

The is a valuable tool that helps OLLIs connect, collaborate, consult with leaders, and celebrate their members. To find an OLLI program near you, we encourage you to visit .
