OLLI at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ launched travel pilot program for members in 2025 to explore interest and offerings. Future plans include a variety of travel options—local day trips, regional overnighters, domestic and international trips.

The OLLI at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Travel Pilot Project Team is pleased to continue offering travel opportunities. In the first half of 2025, we featured four local/regional trips curated with Ashland’s Main Street Tours and two domestic trips with Collette Travel and Tours. See below for our exciting adventures in 2026!

Explore the Rogue Valley and other regional areas with local tour companies. OLLI at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ is lucky to be located in an area nearby to many different exciting and educational experiences.

The Emerald Necklace: Jacksonville Historical Walking Tour with Larry Smith – Monday, June 8, 2026 (one day)

Step into the living history of Jacksonville with renowned local historian and author Larry Smith on an immersive journey through the landscapes that shaped Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Oregon. This unique experience blends storytelling, gentle walking and behind-the-scenes access to the region’s most fascinating cultural and natural sites. Cost is $79 per person.

Crater Lake History Tour: Stories Behind the Scenery – Monday, June 29, 2026 (one day)

Roguetrotter is joined by esteemed author and National Park historian Larry Smith for an immersive, full-day exploration of Crater Lake National Park. Along the way, participants will explore Native American origin traditions, the discovery of Crater Lake, the creation of the National Park, the Civilian Conservation Corps and the early development of park tourism and infrastructure.ÌýDepart from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Campbell Center at 8 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $155 per guest (+$25 for an optional lunch).

Extend your lifelong learning overseas and embark on an adventure with fellow OLLI members.

Exploring South Africa, Victoria Falls, and Botswana – Aug. 22-Sept. 5, 2026 (15 days / 14 nights)
OLLI at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ is partnering with our friends from OLLI at Boise State University for a unforgettable excursion to Africa with Collette Travel–replete with eight African safaris! Highlights include Chobe National Park, Pilanesberg National Park, a braii barbeque dinner on the Chobe riverbank, Cape Winelands, Cape Town and Table Mountain. Start the excursion in Johannesburg, with two days at Victoria Falls. Enjoy two more nights at a marina lodge in Chobe before traveling to separate game reserves. Round out the trip by visiting winelands of the Western Cape, finishing the adventure in Africa’s cultural mecca of Cape Town. SOLD OUT!
